  • Regarding the tourist village of Zaanse schans, I can only say that it looks like a postcard. When I visited this village in 2019, I thought it was one of the most beautiful places I had seen in the Netherlands, and my friend Saeed, who Then he traveled to the Netherlands, he went here on my suggestion and he liked it very much.

    But where is Zaanse schans?

    In the late 18th and 19th centuries, the Zaandam region was an important industrial area, powered by hundreds of windmills that produced liquid oil, paint, canary, mustard, paper and other products. Many of the houses in the famous Zans village are now museums, gift shops or workshops. Some of the remaining Zaandam mills are open to the public.

    Visiting Zaanse schans

    Zaanse schans has nearly one million visitors every year and is one of the best tourist attractions in the Netherlands. The entrance price of each museum, workshop and windmill is different.

    How to go to Zaanse schans

    Going to this village is not a difficult task, if you want to go by train, you have to take a train from the central station of Amsterdam and 15 minutes later you will arrive at Koog Zandik station and you will reach this village by walking for 10 minutes.

    But the route I took was by bike, which took about 40 minutes and I passed by Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam; I also visited Zaandam neighborhood and finally reached this village after crossing a river that you can see in the video.
